GO2 Water is an environmental solutions company with patented, commercially-proven processes for treating wastewater and for recovering bioenergy, nutrients, and water for reuse while operating within a carbon-negative ecological footprint. Our innovative and unique technology has a forty-year operational history and has been placed at municipal and industrial facilities to meet U.S. EPA discharge standards at less than half the investment and one-third the operational costs of conventional wastewater treatment technologies.
GO2 Water offers design, design-build, and turnkey solutions employing a technology that has been scientifically proven and thoroughly documented during decades of rigorous testing, study, and improvement at UC Berkeley and at dozens of field sites under the names Advanced Integrated Wastewater Pond Systems® and AIWPS® Technology, now branded as GO2 Ponds.
Forty-year old system in Saint Helena, Napa Valley, has never removed sludge, which is unique within the wastewater treatment field:

The superior performance and economics of the GO2 Water product is due to:
· the low construction cost of our earthwork reactors;
· the lack of any sludge accumulation in the in-pond digesters because all biodegradable solids digest completely to recoverable biogas;
· the novel use of microalgae to oxygenate water photosynthetically; and
· an ingenious, integrated process that uses more solar energy than electricity, and removes CO2 through algal biofixation.
Additional revenue is potentially available through the sale of carbon credits based on avoidance of methane and CO2 emissions, and through the sale of protein-rich microalgae as animal feed or plant fertilizer.
GO2 Ponds are currently installed at several municipalities in California and one winery. We have provided preliminary designs for numerous other cities, including Stockton, CA, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and Varanasi, India on the holy Ganges River. The population of the latter two cities is over 1 million. GO2 Ponds provide habitat and recreational open space, and are compatible with urban greenbelts, parks, golf courses, and residential developments.
The Hilmar municipal wastewater treatment facility in Central California serves a population of about 8,000 and is maintained by one, part-time operator.
