What We Do

As fresh water resources become increasingly scarce, one of the least-cost sources of new water is reclaimed wastewater.  Because GO2 Water’s technology treats wastewater to meet the strictest standards in the world for wastewater reclamation, including indirect potable reuse (California’s Title 22), and does so at significantly less cost than conventional technologies, the market we serve is enormous, not just in the U.S., but worldwide.  Our technology performs well in temperate climates and still more efficiently in warmer, sunnier subtropical and tropical climates where the majority of the underserved population lives.

GO2 Water is focused on serving four markets segments:

  1. Municipal wastewater;
  2. Private developers sub-contracting out the treatment their own wastewater (in the U.S. today approximately 25% of all new housing developments include private wastewater treatment facilities);
  3. Industrial wastewater plants, such as wineries, food processors, ethanol & biofuel producers; and
  4. Animal feedlots and agricultural applications.

In situations where existing wastewater ponds are not working properly, we can easily retrofit these facilities to double their treatment capacity on the same land area, and also eliminate sludge and odor problems.

Never has there been more interest in sustainability and corporate social responsibility, and the market has matured to embrace our green and clean technology.

  • PeRFORMANCE OF GO2 Ponds

    The superior performance and economics of the GO2 Ponds product is due to:

    ·            the low construction cost of our earthwork reactors;

    ·            the lack of any sludge accumulation in the in-pond digesters because all biodegradable solids digest completely to recoverable biogas;

    ·            the novel use of microalgae to oxygenate water photosynthetically; and

    ·            an ingenious, integrated process that uses more solar energy than electricity, and removes CO2 through algal biofixation.

    Additional revenue is potentially available through the sale of carbon credits based on avoidance of methane and CO2 emissions, and through the sale of protein-rich microalgae as animal feed or plant fertilizer.

    GO2 Ponds are currently installed at several municipalities in California and one winery.  We have provided preliminary designs for numerous other cities, including Stockton, CA, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and Varanasi, India on the holy Ganges River. The population of the latter two cities is over 1 million.  GO2 Ponds provide habitat and recreational open space, and are compatible with urban greenbelts, parks, golf courses, and residential developments.

  • The Most energy-efficient means of Wastewater treatment

    An efficient paddlewheel gently mixes the high-rate pond, keeping algae in suspension and thereby ensuring that photosynthetic oxygenation of the water is optimized.  The little 3-hp motor that powers this paddewheel is the biggest electrical consumption in the whole facility!

  • An Attractive and Elegant solution

    GO2 Ponds can be artistically and aesthetically integrated into an attractive landscape design, and provide valuable open space enjoyed by nearby residents for jogging, bird-watching, and other leisurely activities.
